Sainz Critiques F1 Broadcast Focus

Carlos Sainz has criticized Formula 1’s television coverage for focusing too much on celebrities and drivers’ families, rather than on-track action.

Following the Singapore Grand Prix, he pointed out that key moments, such as his overtakes and a battle between Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso, were overlooked in favor of showing reactions from the stands.

While acknowledging that such shots can add to the broadcast, Sainz emphasized the importance of prioritizing the race itself.

An F1 spokesperson responded, stating that they aim to provide comprehensive coverage, balancing on-track action with context from the grandstands and high-profile guests.
