Ice Speedway World Begins

The 2026 FIM Ice Speedway World Championship kicks off this weekend (14-15 March) at the Max Aicher Arena in Inzell, Germany.

Reigning champion Martin Haarahiltunen aims for a fifth consecutive title, but faces stiff competition from rivals including Niclas Svensson, who narrowly missed out last year.

Last season was closely contested, with Haarahiltunen winning by just two points after Svensson claimed victory in the final two rounds.

Top riders from six nations, including Swedes, Finns, Germans, and Dutch competitors, will race in the opening two Finals, with the championship concluding in Heerenveen, Netherlands on 11 April.

Other notable contenders include Max Koivula, Jasper Iwema, Heikki Huusko, and newcomers like Filip Jäger, all seeking podium finishes against a strong international field.

Fans can watch all three Finals live on FIM-MOTO.TV, with single-event passes at €9.90 and a full season pass, including the Ice Speedway of Nations, for €15.90.
