Apple & Netflix F1 Deal

Apple and Netflix have agreed to work together on Formula 1 content for the 2026 season, creating a rare partnership between the two major streaming platforms.

Under the deal, Apple TV, which is the exclusive broadcaster of all 24 F1 races in the United States this year, will stream the eighth season of the hit documentary series Formula 1: Drive to Survive, and that content will also be available on Netflix in the U.S. at the same time.

In return, Netflix will broadcast its first live F1 race — the Canadian Grand Prix in May — to U.S. viewers, a significant step as live race rights usually belong to the official broadcaster.

Season 8 of Drive to Survive covers the 2025 championship and launches on February 27, 2026. It will be available globally on Netflix and in the U.S. on Apple TV, giving fans multiple ways to enjoy F1 content.

The partnership aims to expand F1’s audience in the U.S. by making both the documentary series and select live race coverage available across both services.
