Australia’s Jessica Gardiner is racing in her thirteenth 6DAYS Enduro of Nations this year in Bergamo, Italy. At 32 years old, she is one of the most successful women in the history of the event, with six Women’s World Trophy titles.
Gardiner helped Australia win its first 6DAYS in Sardinia back in 2013. She says it still feels special to wear the green and gold jersey for her country.
Now a mentor, she is guiding younger teammates like 18-year-old Danielle McDonald and 21-year-old Madison Healey. Gardiner believes Australia’s strong training at home and the Four-Day Enduro race has helped keep them competitive.
This week, Australia is aiming to challenge the USA for the Women’s World Trophy win. Gardiner says they will give everything to stand on the top step of the podium.
