The motorcycling world is saddened by the death of Jean‑Pierre Moreau, who was born in France in 1940 and passed away recently.
He served in many important roles in the FIM’s Circuit Racing Commission, including as Vice‑President, across the 1980s, 1990s, and early 2000s.
After that, he was a long‑time member of the FIM Public Affairs Commission until 2022.
Moreau also played a major role in the French Motorcycling Federation for over 50 years, holding leadership positions and helping shape sporting rules and safety work.
In recognition of his huge commitment, he was named Honorary Vice‑President of the French federation in 2023.
The FIM expressed deep condolences to his family, friends, and the entire motorcycling community, saying he will be greatly missed.
