Marquez’s Brazil GP Error

MotoGP champion Marc Marquez said his late‑race error at the Brazilian Grand Prix happened at a corner where the track surface was breaking apart, and that’s what cost him a podium finish.

The race in Goiania was shortened because the asphalt was degrading, and racers had to deal with slippery, unstable tarmac.

Marquez had been fighting for third place after battling with another rider, but he nearly lost control at the corner where the surface was deteriorating.

He eventually finished fourth and explained that touching that bad patch made him almost crash, forcing him to ease off and lose the podium spot.
