Peugeot has announced that Jean‑Éric Vergne will relinquish his racing seat in the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) Hypercar programme to make way for Stoffel Vandoorne, who will return to the team.
Vergne will shift into a development role, allowing him to focus on his commitments in Formula E while still contributing to Peugeot’s future projects.
The decision aligns with both his personal schedule and the manufacturer’s strategic plans.
