The FIM has approved additional helmets under its FRHPhe-02 standard, including ACERBIS and AIROH off-road models and the SHARK circuit racing model. These helmets meet the ECE 22-06 standard and have passed all FRHPhe-02 tests, which will become mandatory in 2026 for FIM championships.
The ACERBIS AIRSTRIKE FIM RACING#2 is available in XS, S, and M; the AIROH AVIATOR 3 EVO comes in XS to XXL; and the SHARK AERON GP FIM RACING#2 is available in XS to XXL. Homologation is confirmed by a FIM label on the chin strap.
FRHPhe-02, developed with helmet manufacturers in 2022, aims to improve rider head protection beyond existing standards, introducing new impact tests, rotational tests, quick-removal cheek pad tests, and a Skull Fracture Criterion (SFC).
